What is a PSU?

PSU or a Public Sector Undertaking as the term indicates is a public sector enterprise (or organisation) which is owned by the Union Government or either a state or a territorial government or both. The majority share of a PSU (51 percent or more) is held by the Union Government or by a State Government or partly by the central government and partly by one or more State Governments. PSUs have their own recruitment process for recruiting technical and non-technical employees.
