CALL FOR CASE SUMMARIES FOR CLMS

 

About the Juscholars:

Juscholars is a completely open access law blog to reiterate the importance and multi-disciplinary approach of law. Blog is aimed to foster legal research by providing a platform to encourage the original and unpublished work of authors.

The case summaries will be complied and published. The contributors will get a free copy of the same along with certificate of publication.

Eligibility:

The competition is open to all students (Not restricted to law students), academicians, lawyers and other esteemed members of the legal fraternity.

Topic:

The participant can select any case law to prepare a summary.

 

Guidelines for Contributions:

  • All summaries must be submitted in English Language only.

  • Co-authorship is allowed.

  • All submissions shall be made to editor.juscholars@gmail.com

  • Details of the author(s) shall be provided in the body of the email.

  • There is no word limit as such, as the content will vary from case to case.

  • Guidelines for Writing Case Summaries/brief: (Suggestive)

    • Mention the proper case title and the citation.

    • Name of the Court, Name of the judges and the Parties.

    • Brief facts

    • Issues

    • Important arguments (from both parties)

    • Judgment

    • Present Status of the Judgment (whether still applicable or over-ruled)

    • Conclusion, if any

Assessment criteria:

Your articles will be marked on the following points. You should meet the following standards in order to qualify to win:

  1. The article should meet professional standards and be of publishable quality.

  2. All the sources of the information should be acknowledged.

  3. Editor’s discretion is final regarding winners.

 

About Publication:

The case summaries will be complied and published. 

The contributors will get:

  • A free copy of the same

  • Certificate of publication
